Polisseni, Gregory E.

Fairport January 16, 1970-November 19, 2020

Predeceased by father Eugene R. Polisseni and sister Kimberly M. Polisseni. Survived by his loving mother, his rock, Wanda M. Wyman Polisseni, brother Gary R Polisseni (Lanna), sister Valerie A Polisseni Wilcox (David); nieces and nephews Laura Polisseni, Kimberly Wilcox, Nicholas Polisseni, Tyler Wilcox and Spencer Wilcox; Aunt Eleanor Palmeri, Uncle George and Aunt Joann Wyman, Step Sons Dustin and Andy Cichon and many cousins and friends.

Greg was an accomplished artist, fashion designer, philanthropist and entrepreneur. In early 2013, out of his garage, he created the concept of Artistix, a clothing line based on his paintings. His vision was that when people wore his clothes, they would know they came from a true artist. He found an expression of inner peace through his art. In his abstracts, you can see his battles, his inner struggles and the eye of the hurricane where peace exists. He was just a painter in the woods.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no prior calling Hours. Private Funeral Mass will be held live streamed http://www.stjohnfairport.org Tuesday 11AM at St. John of Rochester Church, Fairport. Private Interment Holy Sepulchre.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kelly for Kids, 8205 Main Street Suite 13, Williamsville NY 14421 or the Halle Polisseni Adoption Center at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450

I was so shocked and saddened to hear the passing of Greg. I was a High School Classmate of his. Although I hadn’t been in touch with him over the years I reconnected with him accidently when I attended one of his Fashion events in NYC. I was so surprised to see a friend/ classmate from Fairport all the way in NYC! I know how much he was loved and I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his family must be going through. I am sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to his family and friends. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed.

Greg was a special friend to me. I lost my daughter, only child.. age 23, 4.5 yrs ago he basically came to my rescue. I had 3 surgeries, I never had proper grief so to speak. Greg was a man of such a heart, and an animal lover as well. He understood me in a way no one else has to date. He understood the pain of loss of a loved one, which we all have experienced. But he understood “there is no higher level of grief, than a mother” for he had seen in his mother, Wanda. He understood me… and this was my only child I ever have. I have reflected on my memories with him, and I stand tall.. with honor and grace for, “Greg Polisseni was not just my friend, but a mentor too” I am proud to have known you in the personal way which I did… and cherish it forever. Much Love my friend! meet me at the gates someday!

My sincere condolences to the Polisseni family on the loss of Greg. I remember as a young boy,how excited he would get when the big St. Johnsbury truck would come down our street when his dad came home from a road trip. May God give you strength through this very difficult time.
