I worked with my pal Jerry at Ch8 in Rochester for a great year and a half doing the “On The Road” series. He was a great journalist, funny considerate , and great to work with. He and Jan has such a great relationship- as my wife Lisa and I got to know them when we went to Alaska for a cruise. He was a great friend I will always miss.

Jerry was a great man who gave to his community both as a trusted anchorman and later as a school bus attendant. His keen sense of humor and joy for life was contagious. Fairport Central School District is thankful for his dedication and we will miss his upbeat attitude and cheerfulness.

Five hours a day for 13 school years Jerry and I rode together. Jerry entertained the children every day with math games and a ongoing scenario of strange voices to entertain the children. Sometimes it was just talking softly to the children to keep them calm and under control . I will very much miss my friend Jerry .

A true, true treasure of a man!! I have so many wonderful memories of Jerry when he worked with and was close friends with my father at WKTV in the 70’s. I was just a little girl then but still remember his polished demeanor, warm smile, and golden-smooth voice. Through my college years in Florida Jerry and Janet were pseudo parents when I was so far away from home. To this day I have maintained a special relationship with them and my heart will always hold a special place for Jerry filled with fond memories. He will be so missed ….sending my thoughts, prayers and love today and the days going forward to Janet and their family. .
