Farmington: Formerly of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the age of 61, with his loving family by his side. Besides his wife Camille (Natone), whom he married in 1979, he is survived by his daughters, Maria Carmela (Kevin) Sommer of Fairport; Nina Camille (Patrick) Stenshorn of Albany; granddaughters, Gianna Marie Sommer and Michaela Antonia Sommer; mother-in-law, Antonia (Moschetti) Natone and several nieces , nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Mary Ann (Berry) Zalone, brother, Ronald Zalone II, and father-in-law, Mario Natone.

In 2007 Michael retired as a Sergeant with the New York State Park Police after 31 years of State service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Bishop McQuaid Council #7085 and Rev. Paul J. Cuddy Assembly #2428, where he proudly served as Color Corps Commander. He was also a member of the NYS Park Police PBA, Retired Police Association, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #24, Rochester Street Rods Club and Rochester Corvette Club. Besides spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, he enjoyed classic and antique automobiles, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and meeting his friends for breakfast and lunch.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21 from 2-5PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport (Egypt location). The Rev. Paul J. Cuddy Assembly Color Corps will conduct a service at 2 PM and a Rosary prayer will take place at 4:30PM. There will be a gathering at the funeral home Monday at 10AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Church of the Assumption, Fairport, at 11:15AM. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park. The family requests donations be made to the Church of the Assumption School of Religion, 20 East Ave., Fairport, NY 14450.
