Fairport: 10/18/2013. Unexpectedly at age 78. Survived by wife and best friend of 53 years, Joan; children, Christine (Jeffery) Crater, Linda, Paul (Angela); grandchildren, Kara (Trevor) Johnson, Kyle Winfield, Jennifer and Ryan Crater, Arianna and Ariel Winfield; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Sadie Johnson; brother, Donald (Mary Anne); sister, Marilyn Carges. Predeceased by sister, Joan Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was employed at RG&E in Customer Service for 35 years. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School and St. John Fisher College. He loved gardening, playing bridge, and spending time with his family.
Friends may call Thursday, 4-7 PM at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd. (Egypt location). Funeral Mass Friday at 11AM in St. Catherine of Seina Church (26 Mendon Ionia Rd., Mendon].
