Sue was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School and Nazareth College.  During the 1960’s she was musical director for The Maids of  Note and Rochester Music Theater, staging many successful theatre productions and concerts. Sue also directed productions at The Town and Country Theatre.  She lived and worked in New York City for most of her career where she was musical director for several touring musical productions. She later worked in social services, returned to Rochester and continued her social work here for several years.  We will miss her humor, her love for all of us, and all that music.

We would like to thank the University of Rochester Hospice Program and St. John’s at The Meadows for their thoughtful and professional care these last several weeks, which allowed Suzanne to remain in her home until the end.  And a special thank you to the Highland Hospital 7th floor nursing staff (east and west) for Suzanne’s outstanding care.

Arrangements by Keenan Funeral Home.  There are no calling hours.  Internment at the convenience of the family.  If you wish please leave a memory of Suzanne at www.keenanfuneralhomes.com.

I am sooo very sorry to the whole Wigg family. (if you remember me I was Billy’s girlfriend Sue). I was honored to know such a wonderful family that you all are. I remember Aunt Sue well (Billy loved her). Jennifer (I sent you a message on facebook) think of you all often. I still have Bill in my heart and talk to him everyday (he is my angel) and I know he was one of the first to welcome his aunt with open arms. Peace and love to you all. I was just at the cemetery a couple of weeks ago – will never forget you all – I am very saddened by your loss

Of course we remember you Sue! Thank you for thinking of us. I will miss her so. We are grateful that you keep Bill’s memory alive. There are so few of us now that remember him. Our love to you and your family. Aunt Cathy

I was a member of the Maids of Note and a founding member of Music Theatre. Sue and I remained friends all these years and I was so sorry to hear of her passing. We saw each other often when she lived in New York City (where I now live). My most treasured memories are of the time I spent in the “Maids” and Music Theatre. Most of my fast friends from Rochester were in those groups. My best wishes to her sister and the many nieces and nephews.

My sympathy to the entire Wigg family. I was a classmate of Sue at Nazareth College and an original member of the Maids of Note.. She was a marvelous Music Director and Conductor. I also accompanied a few of her Theater Shows. She was very talented in all she did. Time passes too quickly but the memories don’t. My sympathies and thoughts especially go to Joan Hansis Wigg and Frank and Catherine Wigg. Joan was a classmate of mine at Nazareth Academy and Frank at St, Monica’s . Sincerely – Carol Haggerty Conway

Carol, I am so happy to hear from a Nazareth friend! Those were happy times for Sue and her beloved Maids. Thank you for remembering her. All her life, ever the conductor, those hands would come up when she was listening to a musical performance. It would make her happy to know that you have good memories of making music together. That is what she was all about. And what a small world – Frank and Joan remember you well. My best to you Carol, Catherine

Anne, thank you for remembering us. We have been reminiscing about all the singing that went on in our family home as well as at the bar where the Music Theater crowd hung out. She was so proud of the Maids of Note. She has a tape recording of a Maids performance – I will have to find that when I sort out her things. We have enjoyed going through her scrapbook looking at all the newspaper articles/reviews and photos of the cast members (and you) from the various shows. It really was the best of times. We will miss her greatly. Our best to you. Catherine
