  1. Dear Carole,

This comes in as a blast from your and your Mom’s past from back to our Girl Scout Days formward into our early adulthood.

I remember your Mom fondly and the fun person she was and likely is as she settles into the next chapter of her life. When we lost my mom Dorothy, at age 85, we knew she had gone to a good place. She was in hospice, at peace with herself and this world and ready to move on. Still, my sister Kate and I kind of felt like orphans. It really helped that Mom loved birds. After her passing, we kept seeing bird feathers showing up in the most unlikely places. It sure felt like Mom was hanging around for a while for an extended visit no matter where each of us found ourselves. Look for little signs of your Mom. It really helps.

The last I knew of you was that you were working as a nursing home administrator in Warsaw. That was sure a long time ago. It would be great to catch up with you to recall memories from being C.I.T.s together to times we had in the John street home in which you grew up.

Keeping you and your family in our thoughts.
    Sue 🙂
