Fairport: “Doc” was born Au­gust 2, 1926, and passed away peacefully, surround­ed by his children, on October 15, 2016 at the Canandaigua VA Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is predeceased by his wife, Catherine after 63 years of marriage; son, Lance. Doc retired to Florida after spending 35 years at Eastman Kodak as a roll coater. He is survived by his son, James (Ginny); his daughter, Christine (Jeff); and his youngest son, Timothy (Paula); grandchildren, Ammie, Katie, James, Julianne, Jesse, Meghan, Anthony, Anna Marie, Jane Claire, and John; also leaves 10 great-grandchildren; and companion, Mikki Warner. Doc was a member of the Fairport Volunteer Fire Dept., Knights of Columbus, and he attended Alfred Ag Tech and RBI. Horses were a big part of Doc’s younger years. He also greatly enjoyed camping with his daughter & son-in-law.

Doc’s winning smile and conge­niality were part of his personality. He will be sadly missed by all.

Calling hours, Wednesday, 4-7 PM at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOME, 41 South Main St., Fairport. Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, 11:15 AM at Church of the Assumption, Fair­port. Donations may be made to the Canandaigua VA in Doc’s memory.
