Short, John J. Sr.

Fairport/Seneca Lake: December 20,2015 at age 85. Predeceased by loving wife, Mary Ann (Carmen) in 2013 and parents, James and Addie Jackson; Survived by children, John (Susan) Short Jr., Nancy (Keith) Button and Peter (Mary Jean) Short: grandchildren, Emily (Dan) Heuer, Hilary and JJ. Short, Amy and Heather Button, Connor, Abigail and Victoria Short. John graduated from Ocean Side H.S. in 1948. John and Mary Ann met and fell in love at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Together they started a Rubber Manufacturing Firm named J.J. Short Associates Inc. Currently in Macedon. They relaxed at their Summer Cottage on Seneca Lake where they shared their days with their beloved Westies, MacDuff, Duffy and Lucy, AKA Duffy.

Friends may call Sunday, December 27th 2-5PM at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport (Egypt Location), where a Service will take place Monday, December 28th at 10:30AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to a charity of your choosing in John’s name.
