At age 86 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Predeceased by his brothers, William and Jack Schwartz; sons, Bill and Kevin Schwartz; grandson, Ricky Schwartz. Survived by Virginia, his loving wife of 52 years; daughter, Linda Mancini; grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Mancini; great-granddaughter, Faith Howlett; sister, Jean Whitney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The son of Louis and Marcella, Dick grew up in Pittsford, NY, attended Pittsford Schools and helped his father run Schwartz’s Amoco Service Station for many years. He was part of the Pittsford Fire Dept. since 1945, serving as a volunteer Firefighter and Exempt member. He was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force serving part of his time in Germany. Dick had many interests including traveling, camping, bird watching and carpentry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Fur, Fin and Feather Club.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 26th at 9:30 AM at All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Perinton Volunteer Ambulance, 1400 Turk Hill Road, Fairport, NY 14450
