Bach, Robert B. “Bob” Sr.

Fairport – Passed away on January 7, 2018 at age 92.

 

 

Predeceased by his wife, Merial Bach; son, Stephen; his parents, Bernard and Loretta Bach; brothers, Gregory and Thomas; brother-in-law, Edward Goff (Utica). Bob is survived by his loving sister, Doris Goff (Utica); sister-in-law, Sue Bach; former spouse and friend, Ouida Burke; children, Connie (Donald) Simmons, Bob (Connie), Rick (Debra Kovac), Debra (John) DeVoldre, Joan (Bruce) Powell, Larry (Nina Phillips), Dennis (Elaine Bergeron) and Charmaine Fallon; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors of both Hilton and Fairport, especially Maplewood Estates. His family would like to give special thanks to the VA Home Base Care Team of Melissa Kropf NP, Mike Lidner RN and staff for their amazing love, caring and support literally up to his last breath as well as the care provided by his aides primarily Addie Montgomery and the endless invaluable assistance of Michelle Brian, PA. Bob, a WWII Gunner in USMC (see video facebook) loved being the “Music Man” and calling bingo at Maplewood Estates. He was well known also as the “Candy Man” playing the pick-the-hand game with people of all ages but particularly the children. Bob was very proud as former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus at Church of the Assumption. Along with his dog Fancy Dan, Bob would enjoy daily walks greeting neighbors and looking for the next roadside treasure to take home and add to his half acre collection known as Fort Apache. donations in his memory may be made to Hope Hall,Lollypop Farm or a charity of your choice

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 13th at 10 AM at Church of the Assumption (Fairport).
