Parsons, Evelyn A.

Pittsford, New York – January 14, 2018 at age 80 years. She was born in Buffalo, NY on October 20, 1937 the daughter of Herman Kolbe and Marion (Sherrard) Kolbe. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Paul, children David (Sarah) Parsons of Victor, NY, Beth (Ross) Segel of Penfield, NY, John of Victor NY, grandchildren Michael Parsons, Christopher Parsons Allison Segel and Todd Segel, Sister in Law Karen Parsons of Seattle, Washington, several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous dedicated friends.
She was a Cum Laude graduate of Syracuse University with a Masters Degree from Nazareth College. She was retired from the Rochester City School District where she was a dedicated teacher and loved every one of her students and colleagues. She was a lifelong dedicated member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and active in their scholarship program. She was an avid gardener, a dedicated homemaker and had a special love for the Adirondack Mountains. She worshipped at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsford NY where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

A service will be held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 28 Lincoln Ave, Pittsford, NY, 14534 at 10:00 on Friday, January 19, 2018 followed by an internment at Whitehaven Memorial Park and a reception back at the church.
