So sorry for your lose, we will miss seeing her in the summer in Sea Isle, she always had a smile on her face and was always ready for her shore adventure. We were so very lucky and happy to have met her and became friends. Know that she is at peace and happy with God. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

What an amazing, active, giving person! Still teaching school occasionally, singing in two choirs, active at church, running the Orienteering Club Hot Line, going to the airport at 4AM to send off veteran’s Honor Flights, knitting and collecting coupons for military families and spending plenty of time with her children and grandchildren, near and far. I was in her clique in high school but lost track until our 50th class reunion. Since then I have been fortunate enough to occasionally accompany her on her many, regular outings on the bicycle, kayak, skis and snowshoes she always kept ready in her car. I will certainly miss her. But what a full life she lead!

Carol has been a constant in my life for over 25 years. I would run into her on the water, in the forest, on the trail, in the pool, and guaranteed at an orienteering meet. She would always grace me with her infectious laughter and enthusiasm. Her “joie de vivre” was an inspiration to all. What a remarkable person she was. I will dearly miss her. May she now be reunited with her beloved Tom and continue their adventures together.

Carol , a wonderful, positive, helpful person, is going to be sorely missed by her many ORIENTEERING friends.
She had an unmistakable, delightful laugh. It was a pleasure to have worked and played alongside this wonderful friend!

I worked with Carol at Mendon Center Elementary for many years and am a better person for having known her. She made all of us, student and staff alike, better citizens by her wonderful example. I’ll always remember her joyfully sledding with her students each winter, volunteering for bus duty every day and managing a veritable three ring circus in her classroom. She was unfailingly kind and welcoming and never complained, even when she had to move her entire classroom three times in as many years. Carol was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. I’m so sorry for your loss but will treasure the time I had with Carol.

What sad news to read of Carol! She will be missed by so many. I feel lucky to have known her over the years through orienteering and ski orienteering.

As a fellow member of the Rochester Orienteering Club, I can safely say that I have never met anyone nicer than Carol. She always had a smile on her face, a friendly greeting, and she never had a critical word to say about anybody (save poking fun at herself). She will be dearly missed by the orienteering community of Rochester.
