Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Judy; his daughters, Beth (Tom) Good and Kristine (Al) White; he was the proud grandpa of Sam, Carter and Brooke. He was also survived by cousin, Sr. Raymond Joseph; sister-in-law Sally Smith; nieces and nephews and his good buddy, Emmitt. Don was a native of Corning, NY and was a Korean War Veteran. He served as Communications Executive for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 20 years and enjoyed a long distinguished career as a Writer.

Donald Kneeland received a degree in journalism at Niagara University and a postgraduate degree in advertising at Pennsylvania State University. After working as a journalist, he moved into the advertising field. Don served 20 years as a communications executive at Blue Cross and Blue Shield and subsequently established a publishing company after he retired. He also wrote a historical book called “Spirits of the Genesee/Finger Lakes Region”.

Don has been listed in the Who’s Who in the East and received numerous awards including the Advertising Council Of Rochester’s prestigious annual award for public service and a First Award for feature writing presented by the Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal. Most recently, he served as a publishing consultant with The Pancoast Concern of Victor, NY. Don’s family were his pride and joy.
