Stuart, FL: Passed away peacefully at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida on April 20, 2017.

Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 58 years, Patricia N. Ince; his 3 sons, Jeffrey Ince (Judy Principe), Christopher Ince (Anne), and David Ince (Chaelle); grandchildren, Alexandra, Ashley, Jessa, Elijah, and Henry; cousins, Eugene “Bud” Ince, Cecil Ince, William Ince, and Kathy May. Predeceased by his mother, Loretta Ince; father, Louis Ince; and very recently, his cousin Julie McGuiness.
Ed was a graduate of Chaminade High School on Long Island, awarded his Electrical Engineering degree from Union College in 1957, and his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
Ed started as an Engineer in the Apparatus Division of Eastman Kodak, and then became a Recruiter. He held positions in Business Development, Corporate Marketing and then moved to the Customer Equipment Service where he became General Manager and Vice President of the Division.
Ed retired early in 1991 and continued to be very active in the Boy Scouts where he served on the Executive Board of the Otetiana Council. He was instrumental in the development of a Cub Scout Adventure Camp in the Bristol Hills. He also facilitated the sale of a large tract of land in the Adirondacks to further endow the council’s Scout Camp. Ed achieved Eagle Scout at a young age, and was also honored with the prestigious Silver Beaver award for his distinguished service to the Scouts.
Ed loved to travel with Pat and enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his cottage on Keuka Lake and at his condominium in Florida. He was always organizing neighborhood association projects and reunions. Ed was a warm, friendly gentleman who was dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held from 6 PM to 9 PM on Fri., May 5th at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., Fairport, NY. Services will be held Saturday, May 6th, 11 AM at St John of Rochester in Perinton. A Reception will be held following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL, or the Wilmot Cancer Center.
