My condolences to the family. When I read the obituary this morning I could’t get the name out of my head. I knew Gordon and I had crossed paths somewhere. I finally figured it out when I found his photo in a 1968 yearbook from Erie County Technical institute where I was a freshman and Mr Guffner taught Mechanical Technology. I was one of his students, and thanks in part to him I and ended up with a 34 year career at Xerox.

Thank you Lawrence, this means so much hearing my father taught you and that you are successful. He loved teaching and his students really mattered to him.

He was a man that always had a smile on his face. I never saw him angry. He loved his family unconditionally. He was loyal and dedicated. He was loved dearly. I will miss him truly.

My husband and I spent numerous times with Gordy and his family and friends.. We visited them in Buffalo and Florida and enjoyed seeing the wonderful things Gordy made for his friends and family. We still have the angel he made to watch over us in our new home in VA. We wish his entire family our deepest heartfelt regrets and sympathy for the loss of this gentle man.

our deepest regrets and sympathy. With love
