Gaffney, Karen M.

Fairport: Age 46. Afler a valiant fight with ovarian cancer, Karen entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her older brother, Kevin, who died in infancy. She is survived by her loving family; parents, Jack and Betty Gaffney of Greece, NY; brother, Keith and sister-in-law, Gale of Canton, MA; sister, Kelly and brother-in-law, Jim of Natick, MA; niece, Marisa; nephews, Ryan, Sean and Michael; many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless friends and colleagues. Karen graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1985 and St. Bonaventure University in 1989. She worked at The Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, The University of Rochester Medical School and most recently as Vice President of the Al Sigl Foundation for the Al Sigl Community of Agencies. More importantly than any resume of achievements could list, Karen was humble, loyal, kind,
funny and the true detinition of a friend. The strength she showed while battling her illness was remarkable. Heaven has gained another angel and through our sorrow, we must rejoice.

Friends are welcome to call at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Plttsford Palmyra Road, Fairport (Egypt location), Monday, April 1st from 4-7 PM.
