Gable, Bonnie Ruth Shelhamer

Webster: Age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 12, 2019.

Bonnie is survived by her loving daughters Eileen (Brad) Button, Susan (Alan) Carroll, Mary (Dave) Brown; sisters Donna (Footie) Christman and Diane (Deb Barse) Shelhamer; grandchildren Alyson, Christopher, Stephen, Kristina, Jordan, Colin and Elizabeth. She is predeceased by her parents and her grandson Alec.

Bonnie was a lover of life, a woman whose laughter and sparkle captivated a crowded room. She was a beautiful woman who enjoyed a style all her own. She often told the nurses at Hill Haven Nursing Home, where she spent her final years, that her greatest joy was being a mother. She delighted in her grandchildren, often showering them with unique gifts and fuchsia-colored lipstick kisses.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at White Haven Memorial Park, All Seasons Chapel on Monday, June 17 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may send donations to Wilmot Cancer Institute, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.

Thoughts and prayers for your family. I remember Mrs. Gable when I moved to ER and she worked in the Elementary school office. She was always dressed so pretty and always had a smile for everyone. ?

We all got a glimpse into your mom, Eileen, through your book. And what a happy glimpse it was. Sounded like she put pizazz into every day. So very sorry that you now have to do life without her. Hugs and prayers for all the family.

So sorry for your loss. I will always remember your mother as a beautiful lady who alway dressed to the “nines”, alone with her girls. Sending prayers to you and you family.

I knew Bonnie when we worked at Burroughs Corp. She was always cheerful, positive, beautifully dressed and went far beyond helpful in whatever task she was given. My deepest condolences to all her family.
