Fairport, NY & Pittsford, NY: January 13, 1941 – December 29, 2016. After a long battle with Par­kinson’s Disease.

Father, Husband, Brother, Grandfather, Great grandfather, Uncle and friend to many.

Predeceased by parents Francis Foster and Janet (Edgar) Foster, Beloved wife Linda Foster (Dolce) (2010).

Survived by his 4 children Julie (Al Lombart), Lori (Mark Peter­son), Wendy (Tim Moffett), Gary (Crystal), brother Bill Foster (Con­nie), and sister Barbara George (Clint), grandchildren Joshua Pe­terson (Marie), Stephen Peterson (Kelsey), Zachary Lombart, Jacob and Samantha Moffett and 1 great granddaughter Calista Peterson, several nieces and nephews, the Dolce family. And many many friends.

Gary started his career at Glea­son Works in the 1960s and later worked in sales at Rochester Poly­chrome Press. He was Past Presi­dent of Monroe Litho, Rochester NY and later became a small busi­ness owner of The Foster Group (Asmat, Westplex and Papago Plastics).

Gary set the precedent of how we should all live our lives. He was honest, loving, and fearless.

“Do ordinary things extraordinari­ly well.” He truly made the world a better place.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to St. Johns Senior Living and the staff of 3 South, the Green Home at 65 Sonoma Drive in Fairport and Life­time Care Hospice. The care and compassion you showed Gary and our family are what gave us these last few years with him. We will be forever grateful.
