Farchione, Amelia (Palumbo) “Mimi”

Fairport: July 19, 2014 passed away peacefully at home at age 93 surrounded by her loving fam­ily. She is survived by her devot­ed husband of 72 years, Daniel; daughters, Mary Jean (Gerald) Gears, Joanne (Richard) Davis, Linda (Richard) Farchione Hawks, Donna (Bryan) Williams, Sharon (Michael) Ross; 1 son, Daniel (Mary Beth) Farchione; 13 grand­children; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rita Palumbo and Mary Lou Farchione. Dan and Mimi were co-founders of Turin Swim and Tennis Club which they owned and operated for many years and continues to be enjoyed by families today. Mimi is recog­nized by the National Women’s Hall of Fame, The Book of Lives and Legacies. Mimi will always be remembered for the unconditional love and support of her family es­pecially for her husband following his WWII POW experience.

Friends may call at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOME, 7501 PITTSFORD PALMYRA ROAD, FAIRPORT (EGYPT LO­CATION), Wednesday 4-7 PM. Her life will be celebrated Thurs­day 10 AM at St. John’s of Roch­ester, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport and live streamed www.stjohnfair­port.org. Final resting place, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Catholic Charities.
