Esposito, Carmen A.

Webster: Age 92, passed away February 2, 2016, at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Webster. Predeceased by his parents Dominic and Antoinette Esposito, his infant sister Josephine and infant great-granddaughter Grace Esposito. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Therese (Milliken) Esposito, children Dominic (Camilla) Esposito of Fairport NY, Kathleen Esposito of S. Pasadena CA, Jacqueline (Anthony) Fitzpatrick of Elmira NY, Anthony Mark (Vickie) Esposito of Raleigh, NC, Mary Christine (Alan) Brick of Webster NY, sister Therese (Joseph) Forte of Elmira NY, 6 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Born in Elmira NY, Carmen graduated from Elmira Catholic High in 1940 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit. He worked for 32 years as a sales engineer for Corning Glass Works. After his retirement he worked for several more years as a consultant for Corning distributors, making many lifelong friends in the process. He was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Elmira for over 50 years, and in 2009 Carmen and Therese relocated to Webster NY to be closer to family. He and Therese enjoyed extensive travel over the years throughout the US and overseas, especially to Italy.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Maplewood Nursing Home for their excellent care. No prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1100 W. Church st. Elmira NY 14905. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: St. Paul’s Abbey, C/O Br. Luke O’Connell, PO Box 7, Newton NJ. 07860 to support Fr. Damian Milliken’s African Mission.
