Edgcomb, Jonathan Leslie “Edge”

Jon “Edge” Edgcomb of Ft Lauderdale FL died on Friday March 31, 2017. He was 35. He was born on April 21, 1981 in Denver CO.   He attended Honeoye Falls-Lima High School and Ithaca College. He loved the sun, bachelor life, and music, living 8 years in San Diego and recently in Florida. He worked as a personal trainer. But what he was really known for and loved for was the way he would care for his friends. He would always “have your back”. He died too young. We are especially grateful now for his strong spirit that will remain in our memories to fill in the hole left in our hearts. Jon is survived by his brother Chris, sister-in-law Mim, nephew Colt, and his parents Wanda and Lee Edgcomb. Calling hours at the Keenan Funeral Home will be held at 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY 14450 on Friday April 7th from 4pm to 7pm. Memorial donations may be made in Jon’s name to ROCovery FITness, rocoveryfitness.org.

What a delightful young man. He moved across from me only a few weeks ago. He came across the street to introduce himself. He said thst if I needed any help with anything, they would be glad to assist! We waved at each other a only a few days ago.
Just his friendly demeanor, I will always remember. First impressions..are often lasting impressions. I had hoped that the news of his death was an April Fool’s joke. Reality has arrived. To his friends and family, my sincere condolences. .

Although we lost touch after Ithaca College, I’ll always remember you. Over the years I’ve randomly shared stories of the two of us, but never thought to reach out. I only know learned that you were in California where I am as well. There’s nothing I could have done that im sure your closest friends and family didnt already try or do, but regardless, I regret not seeing you post college. If there’s one thing I can say with certainty, its that you had a heart of gold. All the crazy college behavior and antics aside, youd do anything for those close to you, putting them before you. For that, you were special. I can’t believe youre gone but I hope your soul is at peace. You’ll always be remembered and never forgotten.
