Doway, Maureen McGary
Gananda, NY: Passed away with peace and grace on April 20, 2015 with her family at her side. Survived by her husband of 25 years, Gilbert E. Doway; 2 children, Sydney and Bradlee; parents, Thomas and Pamela McGary; sisters, Colleen McGary Smith (Matt) of Boston, MA, Kathleen McGary Laney (David) of Hoboken, NJ; brother, Thomas McGary Jr. (Elizabeth) of Batavia, NY: nephews and niece Oliver and Simon Smith and Cecilia Doway; sisters-in-law, Geraldine George, Jennifer Morancie and Annette Smith; and many nieces and nephews-in-law.
Born in Louisville, KY, Maureen grew up in Cincinnati, OH, St. Catherines Ontario, Canada and Fairport, NY. After graduating from Fairport High School she attended St. John Fisher College receiving a BS in Psychology and Sociology. A devoted mother, Maureen was actively involved in Gananda’s PTSA, Sports Boosters and Dollars for Scholars. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, who’s greatest passion was helping others.
Calling hours will be held Friday April 24th, from 4-7 at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt location), 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday April 25th, 10 AM at St. Paul’s Church, 783 Hard Road, Webster, NY. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY. if you wish, donations may be made in her honor to Lollypop Farm or to the Humane Society of Greater Rochester. She leaves us rich in memories.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Maureen. She was a wonderful lady who will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
