  1. Dr. DiRision hired me at Locust Valley School District as the first School to Work Coordinator for the high school. He was one of those people around whom you instantly feel comfortable. I so enjoyed his sense of humor and quick wit. Mostly, he was loyal. At a time when the union was questioning the coordinator positon, Dr. DrRisio was strong enough to tell them to stop the nonsense.

When he left, he was followed by a string of incompetant, humorless, and educators who knew nothing about teaching. His moving back up to Freeport was a loss for so many of us.

He was a great man, and adoring father which showed when he talked about his son, and I am guessing a super husband.

I am so sorry for your loss; it is too soon for Dr. DiRisio to be gone. He always had so much to contribute.

    With prayers for your sorrow.

    Sheila

  3. One of my most favorite people. Who married my beautiful, amazing aunt. He was taken too soon, but may we all remember him and all he gave to everyone. He was a rarity in many ways. He touched my life in so many ways it is indescribable. I miss you Uncle Matt. At least you don’t have to eat that meatloaf anymore!
