Butler, Mildred (Millie)

Pittsford: At the age of 94. passed away peacefully on December 28th with family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband, John Ambrose Butler: parents, Charles Harding and Mae (Toom-ey) Harding; and sister, Helen (Harding) Barry. Millie is survived by her sons, James P. Butler and daughter-in-law, Laura. John C. Butler and daughter-in-law, Susan Murray; loving grandchildren, Melissa, Coleen, and Jimmy; 2 cousins, Mary T. Bush and Fr. Frederick Bush. Mildred was a graduate of Nazareth College and during her life worked at Rochester Savings Bank. She also worked as a teacher at St Monica’s Grammar School and for Monroe County. She loved to travel around the world with her children, and in later years, particularly enjoyed the Adirondack. The family would like to thank the staff at Heather Heights and Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends are welcome to call at the RICHARD H. KEENAN FUNERAL HOME. 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd.. Fairport (Egypt location). Monday 1-3 and 5-7 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday. 11 AM at St. Louis Church. Pittsford. Interment. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

    Millie was a good friend of my mother, Jean Heberger (Hill) from the time they were children growing up in the 19th ward, to many years of friendship as adults. I remember Millie as the sweetest lady and a good friend to my mother over many years.
