Jon, and the entire Beato Family. Maria and I are very saddened by your mother’s passing. She was a beautiful person, both physically, and spiritually. Always seemed to have a smile on her face and was always a very gracious to us. It is difficult to say goodbye to a loved one, especially one’s mother. I want to share with you the words of an anonymous author that have given me comfort after the loss of my mother. God Bless her loving memory.

“Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you not time, not space… not even death.”

Lou and all the Beato siblings. I did not know your mom well, but I felt a genuine warmth each time I was around her. She was a blessed woman to have seven children who displayed their loyalty and love on a regular basis, and I’m sure she is still wearing that beautiful smile because of it.

What a truly wonderful, thoughtful, loving person. We will miss her dearly. I grew up in that house and as if she didn’t have enough on her plate, she always made me feel welcome and treated me like I was that sixth son she never had!

I first met Mrs. B when I was 5 years old. For the next 15 years I spent more time in that house than in my own. She always made me feel welcome. Ray and I would be in the backyard playing basketball or in the driveway playing wiffleball and arguing how the first car was not in play but the third one clearly was.

She would always call me into the kitchen and make me sit at the table and talk with her. She was always trying to feed me. Wanting to make me a sandwich, offer baked goods, something to drink, maybe some Oreos. Ray always knew she would get to the Oreos, so he would stand behind her back signaling me to go for the Oreos!

I will miss her with all my heart.

Rest in Peace Grace, a life well-lived.

So sorry for your loss. Wish I could be present at the wake or funeral to pay my respects in person. Meanwhile I hold all of you in prayer.
