Barth, Anton “Tonie”

Columbus, OH/Clyde, NY: Captain, United States Air Force (Retired). Passed peacefully on February 3, 2014 (age 68) at home surrounded by family. Predeceased by his father, Jakob and brother-in-law, Gary Wm. Rood. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dee; cherished son, Anton “Tonie”: mother
Justine; sisters: Justine (Frank) Zentner, Sofia (Patrick Morabito) Rood, Bree (Lee) Schutt: brother Walter: nephews; Jeffrey (Jody) Bunnell , Corey Zentner, Michael (Rebecca) Irish and Eric Rood; nieces: Melissa and Rachel Iocco; aunts: Elisabeth and Susannah as well as many other extended family members and friends.

After 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, he and his wife operated a veteran residential care facility in Clyde, NY for 15 years. He ended his career in Columbus, OH working for Defense Finance and Accounting Services. He will forever be remembered for his strong faith in Jesus Christ, love of family, duty to country, his God given talent for sports and his passion for life.

Tonie’s Life Celebration will be held at 10:00 am on SATURDAY, MARCH 1st at Keenan Funeral Homes, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd, Fairport, NY. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
