Anderson, Ernest T. M.D.

Brighton: Passed peacefully into the presence of God at age 94 on May 14. Predeceased by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Wanda (Blake), and his 2 sisters Ruth Whitegiver and Emely Sepe. He is survived by his 6 children Mark (Debra), Timothy (Mary Beth), Sharon (Steve) Babbitt, Daniel, Jonathan, David (Kim), 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews, and his sisters in-law Joan Blake and Elizabeth Blake.

He loved his life’s work as a physician and practiced family/internal medicine for 69 years and 64 years in Rochester. He was a man of faith and supported local and foreign missions work. In the Army he served in Biloxi, MS and Bath, NY VA hospital (1946-1950). His genuine interest in people and his vitality carried him into a long and amazing life.

Calling hours are on Thursday, May 21 from 4pm to 8pm at Keenan Funeral Home on Pittsford Palmyra Road. Private family interment. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday June 7 at 2pm, followed by a reception, at Browncroft Community Church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Browncroft Community Church 2530 Browncroft Blvd.  Roch, NY 14625. Memorial gifts will be used for mission work of Reach Beyond (HCJB), and other local and international ministries.

    We are very sorry for the passing of Dr. Anderson. We only knew him as a very kind, gentle person.
    He and Wanda were such a nice couple and they always made everyone feel right at home. May he R.I.P.
